Browlift

What is a Brow Lift?

Brow lift, forehead lift or ponytail eye lift, is a cosmetic surgical procedure that lifts the eyebrow and especially its lateral border. It gives the patient a more charming and fresh look.

The Procedure

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia with minimal sedation.

It is performed through a hidden incision at the hairline. During this procedure, the skin is released and lifted. The lateral border of the eyebrow is lifted superolaterally. It consists of a part of the procedures known as fox eye, cat eye, and ponytail eye lift.

Procedure can take 1 to 2 hours.

It is performed either endoscopically through hidden incisions at the hairline or as a direct approach with suspension through a discrete brow incision.

What about the recovery?

Patients will experience discomfort that can be relieved with medication. Two days after the surgery, you should expect bruising & swelling to be at its worst. Sutures are removed 7 days after the surgery and it takes around 1-2 weeks to recover.

Possible Brow Lift complications

Like any surgery, there are possible complications: hematoma, infection, scarring, asymmetries.
